About Community Options
Who We Are
Community Options is a local ACT not-for-profit community-based organisation with more than 25 years of experience in providing services to older people, people with disabilities and their families.
We specialise in providing coordination and intensive case management services to people with complex needs by providing a range of in-home and community based support services under:
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- My Aged Care Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- My Aged Care Regional Assessment Service (RAS)
- ACT Community Assistance and Support Program (CASP)
- ACT Health-funded programs and services.
Community Options is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that provides care and support to older people, people with disabilities, their families and friends. Our mission is to provide support services to our clients that will enable them to achieve a greater degree of independence and continue living quality lives in the community.
Community Options’ vision is for older people, people with disabilities and their families and friends to live good and full lives. We believe that this can be achieved through the person continuing to be a contributing and valued member of their community. To do this we aim to support people to maintain relationships, roles and connections to enhance the opportunities for people to enjoy life.

We are a British Standards Institution (BSI) 9001: 2008 certified organisation.
This means that we have adopted best practice standards to demonstrate to our clients, their families and carers, other organisations and government that we are committed to ensuring our services and management systems meet strict standard requirements, guidelines and client expectations and we actively promote continual organisational improvement to ensure Community Options is run effectively and efficiently.
